It's because of my preference for Android that I don't use an iPhone 4, and neither do many of you. But if we put the OS aside, because both are promising and relevant, then what is more pleasant than the iPhone 4? Yes, this is subjective, but my review, I allow myself a little bias. The Quartet has the coolest case, no backlashes, squeaks, annoying factors. Gorgeous display. The 3.5″ diagonal is plenty for most, especially for those who have used the iPhone before (don't call me CEP, I'm trying). But does any of the competitors have such bright and clear displays? Don't argue - no. Of course, the SGS 2 has a good screen, but the clarity is less, nevertheless. The iPhone 4 has a great camera that easily competes with other flagship cameras. There are other points, but the fact is that the iPhone 4 is as young today as it was a year ago.

I think the release of the five can be delayed. Android smartphones will most likely need a couple more cores to run all the games that come on the iPhone fourth generation. And this is with all my love for robotophones.

There are also points “for” the release of the five. This is the dual-core processor that we saw in the iPad 2. The point is that developers are squeezing the juice out of iron in fruit devices through optimization. With the advent of additional power, games and applications will reach a new level. Unlikely iPhone 4 or iPad first generations will deal with them. However, such developments will start appearing a little later, so I think the white iPhone 4 has a fairly long life cycle.

Appearance

I always speak honestly. The first three iPhones I considered slag in many respects, but the 3G and 3GS models were mostly due to the disgusting case. The fact that it is plastic and glossy is half the problem, but cobwebs, cracks and real canyons appear on back cover- a specific fail. During the presentation of the iPhone 4, I rejoiced, everything is so beautiful, practical and minimalist in one bottle. The model was successful. A year later, picking up a white fourth iPhone, you involuntarily ask yourself: “Where is the same android?” The phone fits perfectly in the hand, all the controls are located where you want to feel them, the weight gives the feeling of "this is the thing" in the hand. Almost perfect shape and appearance, although I think there are people who do not like the design.

The body materials are of high quality, it is glass and metal. The metal edging, stretching through all the side faces, is also an antenna. The back side is made of glass. As far as I remember, Apple talked about the similarity of the front and rear window, but the back scratches pretty quickly, this is a minus.

On the right is the SIM card slot. To open it, you need to resort to using a special paper clip, it is included in the kit. It's horrible.

On the left we see two volume keys and a lever for switching to silent mode. Everything here is ingenious and convenient.

Android lovers have waited, everything is bad here. But this is only half the picture, the second half is good. I'm talking about attachment to iTunes. Bad for users of Android and other operating systems, good for those who have set everything up, got used to it or put up with it. The fact is that using iTunes is convenient, but you just need to give the user a choice. But it turns out that without reference to the above-mentioned service, you can’t go to the toilet, sorry.

I will add to my statement an argument in the form of a story. The fact is that it is this iPhone that we are. I'll let you in on a secret, but don't you dare tell anyone. Our idea was this: take a new white iPhone 4, come to MTV with it, unpack it, connect to a computer (we are not stupid, to a computer with iTunes, of course), throw off any song, drown it and show how the song plays and under water. What happened? We took a new white iPhone 4, came to MTV with it, unpacked it, connected it to a computer with iTunes, but iTunes version turned out to be weak in front of our smartphone. We followed to another computer, then the version was OK, but the computer called the administrator. Looking around, we did not find any administrator. Decided to find a Mac. Found, connected, all is well. But another problem appeared - the phone asked for a SIM card. What a trifle, insert a SIM card! Where to find microSIM? OK, we turned to the management, an iPhone 4 was found in person A. Stop, how to get a card? We went to look for a paper clip in the kit. In order not to tell everything that follows, I’ll say that we didn’t throw off the song, because when we tried to transfer something, everything started to be deleted from the other iPhone. iTunes, such iTunes.

For comparison, when I bought my Nexus S, I just entered my login and password and got an old-new phone in less than a minute. Without wires, administrators and any software.

The choice of OS is a matter of taste and requirements. iOS is very good, hardly anyone will argue. Despite the fact that Android is more suitable for me personally, the army of Apple OS users is so huge for a reason. Everything flies in the phone, there are practically no slowdowns. Practically, because even on an unloaded device, I periodically caught small jerks when navigating between screens and through the menu. But this happens much less frequently than on my Nexus.

I can't help but mention the keyboard on the iPhone. I haven't figured out why yet, but working with her is magically cool. I specifically typed a lot of text in both portrait and landscape modes, the number of false clicks is minimal and tends to zero. I have not been able to understand where at least one similar keyboard for Android is, because it is more convenient to type on touch screen I have not met. I mean specifically the error-free input, since there are other disadvantages in it.

Specifications

The hardware is powerful, but the trump card of the iPhone is optimization. It is thanks to this factor that even previous models run games such as Infinity Blade. Technically, the white 4 is the same as the black 4, but there are some marathonizations, in the form of an improved camera design, there should now be no glare when working with a flash, and an antenna problem has been fixed. Users of the white version report a complete absence of a problem that was present to some extent in the original iPhone 4.

As in the previous paragraph, where I admired the keyboard, here I will praise autonomy. I think the iPhone 4 is able to last on a single charge longer than any Android smartphone, with my load on the smartphone. Even when playing, there is no feeling of “melting before our eyes” of the battery charge.
