Review LG G2 D802 32Gb
Many people ask: is it worth changing LG2 to LG3 and is the flagship smartphone once obsolete? I will say right away that there is no point in changing much, since the G2 model is still very productive and has a high-quality camera. As for the display, it is juicy and bright, it’s nice to watch movies, and there is the possibility of connecting a flash drive via OTG.
The disadvantages include the assembly, creaks appear over time (some elements of the case may depart).
In general, the smartphone is still suitable and you can take it: yes, you shouldn't wait for updates, as I understand it, but you can upgrade to custom firmware (to upgrade to Android 5.0), then the smartphone takes on a new life, seriously. However, without LG’s proprietary interface - the feelings are not the same, so it’s better to leave it and not use the drain (in this case, it’s true, no kidding).

Problems and disadvantages of a smartphone from LG and how to fix them?
- If the G2 D802 does not turn on, for example, you see a white screen, hangs on the splash screen, or the notification indicator only blinks (possibly after charging).
- If it crashes when updating / crashes when turned on (need flashing, 100%)
- Does not charge (usually, iron problems)
- Does not see a SIM card (SIM card)
- The camera does not work (at least hardware problems)
- The sensor does not work (depending on the situation)
Let's start with the good. At one time, I exchanged the stock firmware in LG G2 for CyanogenMod, mostly because of the interface. LG shell of the previous version, to put it mildly, did not like. In the case of LG UX 4.0, the situation is completely different - the new UI is very cool. And one of the features of CloudyG2 3.3 is precisely the complete transfer of the interface with the LG G4. That is, there is no “bare" Android, but I do not regret it at all. Take at least Quick Memo. Yes, we are dealing with Android, so something similar can be “screwed” to any smartphone, but here we are talking about the possibilities out of the box. So Quick Memo makes my life a lot easier. For example, I’m reading some text, I find something interesting in it, and I want to send this passage to a friend. Previously, I needed to take a screenshot, go to some editor, select the necessary lines, and only then forward the picture. Now, this process takes me just a few seconds (I moved the “curtain” → circled → sent). For me personally, this is a very useful feature. It is clear that this is only one of the highlights of the new UI.
A new keyboard also migrated from LG G4 to LG G2. I even like it more than Google’s one, for one simple reason - the block with numbers is displayed on the first screen. That is, in order to dial some number you do not need to make an extra press.
But there are some disadvantages associated with the new interface. For example, on CyanogenMod 12 I took screenshots by holding the power key and there I selected the “Screenshot” item. There is no such chip in the same firmware, so you have to hold down the “Volume down” and “Power” keys. Not very convenient, given the fact that in the LG G2 these buttons are located on the back. Although, of course, you can go the path of least resistance and take screenshots using the same Quick Memo, which I mentioned above. In general, there are three buttons available in this window: “Turn Off”, “Restart” and “On Airplane”.
Now a few words about the camera. Compared to CyanogenMod, she really began to shoot better. The whole point is that the developers of this firmware have improved the camera driver. And it is really noticeable. In general, the application itself is fully ported to the LG G4, except for shooting in RAW format. But this is not critical at all, as for me. If we talk about photos, it is impossible not to note the Auto HDR mode, which significantly improves the quality of images, but at the same time practically does not affect the shooting speed. But the video can be written in HD, Full HD (30 or 60 frames / s) and Ultra HD (30 frames / s). Slow motion is also present: HD at 120 frames / s.
As for performance, I noticed almost no changes. Plus or minus 200-300 points in AnTuTu just do not play a role (now LG G2 is gaining 35 thousand points in AnTuTu on CloudyG2 3.3). The only thing that pleased me very much was that the smartphone began to bask less in games and while watching videos (on the same YouTube, for example). But in terms of autonomy in general, solid stability. With my usage model (and I consider it rather demanding) it turns out that in the morning I take the phone off the charge, and in the evening (at 7-8) I need to charge the device back, because 10-15 percent remains there.
And yes, for some reason you can’t change the sound of the alarm clock in the standard Clock application, so get ready for the fact that you will either have to download some analogue from Google Play, or wake up every morning to very strange sounds. For the rest of the standard applications, I generally have no complaints.
And in the end I’ll talk about some of the nuances associated with installing this firmware. If you will be flashing your G2 with the “stock” or “custom” firmware running on Lollipop, then everything is simple: abandoned the archive, made “wipes” and you're done. But if you install CloudyG2 3.3 on AOSP firmware (I just had CyanogenMod) or KitKat, then there are a few nuances. First you need to download TWRP 2.8.6.1 recovery (you can do it here, select your model), then, of course, backup, then Full Wipe, then flash the LP bootloader (you also need to upload it to the phone before, download it here) and then, without rebooting, install the firmware itself (the latest version always lies here). There is nothing complicated in the installation process itself - the Aroma graphical installer is used (there you can even choose the software package that will be installed). The main thing is to choose your version of LG G2. That's all. As for me, CloudyG2 3.3 is the best firmware for G2 to date.

With a 5.2-inch screen and Full HD resolution, many have enjoyed it. In the reviews I just read that there are sheer oohs and aahs of authors who really like this tube. And there really is something in it! But the best part is not this.
Earlier it was reported that in early 2014, but already on December 26, an update to. Nevertheless, this is the flagship, and therefore fresh firmware is guaranteed to him! Moreover, the Nexus family also makes LG today, which means that it has access to the latest Google developments.
But with Android 4.4 for LG G2, the situation is still not so perfect. Officially, there is an update only in South Korea for the version of the smartphone with the designation F320K. For the rest of the world, the D802 is released. However, for owners of LG G2 who want right now, I will give below instructions for firmware Android 4.4.x KitKat stock and custom firmware.

Installing native (stock) firmware (Android 4.4.2). Rollback from Android 4.4.2 to 4.2.2. Second way
